Echills Wood Railway Junior Team

WHY WE ARE DOING IT

The Junior project has been set up for the younger members of EWR to enable us to develop our skills in tool handling and team work with the ultimate aim of building our own locomotive.

Our first project is an 0-4-2- diesel locomotive to assist the Railway with the work and passenger trains.

We are also doing it for the great experience and opportunity.

After this locomotive is finished we are going to build a 0-4-4- sit-in steam locomotive for passenger services. 

This is one of the balast trains which help hold our railway together

Here we have a very full passenger train coming into Harvesters Station
